Shoplifting – Cited

Officers responded to a report of a shoplifter. Responding officers spoke to the witness, who reported that she observed the suspect acting suspiciously when he entered the store and started looking around. The suspect then selected multiple items and placed them into his bag before leaving the store without paying for them. After further investigation, the suspect was cited. 

Warrant Arrest – Arrested

1200 19th Ave
Officers responded to a report of a suspect causing a disturbance. A computer check on the suspect revealed that he had a warrant for his arrest. The suspect was arrested.

Arson – Arrested
6:59 pm
00 Broad St
Officers responded out to meet with an arson investigator. The officers observed scorch marks on the inside of the residence and piles of ashes on the floor. The officers and arson investigator searched and located a suspect in the incident and arrested him.

Robbery
1:58 pm
500 Buckingham Way
Officers responded to a report of a robbery at a Christmas tree lot. The victim reported that an employee observed the suspect in a prohibited area and carrying out a statute towards a waiting truck, where a second suspect was waiting in the driver’s seat. The victim attempted to stop the suspects but they hit the victims with their truck, traveling at approximately 10mph before fleeing the scene. 

Robbery

19th Ave & Sloat Blvd
Officers responded to a report of a robbery. Responding officers spoke to the victim, who reported that he had arranged a meeting with the suspect to sell several items of clothes and shoes. When the suspect arrived with a friend, they both snatched the box and threatened the victim before fleeing the scene.

600 Sloat Blvd
Officers responded to a report of an auto burglary and a robbery. Responding officers spoke to the victim, who reported that he had left his parked door with the doors unlocked while he went to teach tennis. Shortly after, a bystander observed the suspect enter the victim’s vehicle and notified the victim. The victim confronted the suspect but was punched in the face by the suspect who then fled with several of the victim’s items.

Upland Dr & Westgate
Multiple neighbors reported hearing 6 shots fired and a vehicle speeding off with a passenger screaming shortly after. Responding officers searched but were unsuccessful in locating the vehicle, suspects or possible victims.

Threats – Arrested
10:21 pm
2300 28th Ave
Officers responded to a report of threats. The victim reported that the suspect, an acquaintance of one of the many roommates of the house, had walked into the room and laid on the bed. The suspect then threatened that he would have somebody bring in a gun to shoot the place up. After further investigation, the suspect was arrested.

Battery – Arrested
9:18 am
2200 33rd Ave
Officers responded to a domestic fight inside a house. Both parties told the officers that they had been arguing all day. One of the parties claimed that the other party threw coffee at him causing burns. The other party claimed that she was kicked. The officer spoke to a witness and was unable to determine who the primary aggressor was. Both parties were arrested.

Assault – Brandishing a Weapon – Arrested

200 Gonzalez Dr
Officers responded to a domestic dispute. Upon questioning, both parties stated that they had been arguing all day with one party claiming that the other had spat at her, brandished a gun and attempted to take her phone while she was calling 911. The second party responded that she was hit on her head with a bottle of Hennessy by the other. After further investigation and a search, the handgun and bottle were both located and both parties were arrested.
