Recovery of Stolen Vehicle – Fake Identification – Arrested
5:08 pm
19th Ave & Wawona St
Officers were on patrol and received a positive confirmation, from the License Plate Reader system, of a stolen vehicle from Napa County. The officers conducted a traffic stop and detained the driver without incident.  The driver reported that the vehicle belonged to her mother and a computer check revealed that the driver was on probation out of Napa County. A search of the vehicle revealed multiple bags of property with different names on them and an ID which had the driver’s photo but a different name. Officers contacted the owners of the property that were found and were notified that their vehicle had been broken into and that their property had been stolen. The vehicle’s owner stated that the driver, her daughter, had taken the car without permission. After further investigation, the suspect was arrested.
