Robbery With Force

Judah Street and 40th Ave

Officers in full uniform on patrol driving a marked police vehicle were dispatched to an intersection regarding a robbery. Upon arrival at the scene, officers met a woman and she stated that she had a dispute with a suspect at a bus stop. She told the officers that the suspect had stolen personal belongings through force from the woman.

Suspect 1: Hispanic male, height: 5’7, weight 170 lbs, between age of 25 and 26, LSW: black jacket, blue jeans.

Residential Burglary – Forcible Entry

1000 10th Ave

Officers were dispatched to a residential burglary. Upon arrival at the scene, the officers met a man who stated that he secured and locked his residence on the night before the burglary. When the man came back the next morning, the garage door was damaged and he discovered several home tools were missing. The point of entry and exit was determined to be the garage door.

Residential Burglary – Unlawful Entry

Officers responded to a residential burglary. Upon arrival at the scene, the officers found the outside of the front door opened and damaged. The officers conducted a thorough search of the house and had contacted the house owner. The owner stated that her cleaning service might have left the door opened and will have all locks on the house changed immediately. At a later time, officers were called back to the residence and the woman stated that she had found evidence relating to the burglary in her house.

Residential Burglary – Forcible Entry

Officers responded to a residential burglary. Upon arrival at the scene, officers met a woman and she stated that she had secured and locked her home in the morning. Upon her return in the afternoon, she discovered that her rear back door was opened and damaged. She stated that her home had been ransacked and certain valuable items were stolen by a suspect.

Battery

400 Capitol Ave

Officers responded to a residential burglary. Upon arrival at the scene, officers met a woman who stated that a suspect had a dispute with her daughter at school. During that afternoon, the suspect approached the woman near her vehicle and had physically injured her.

Female Suspect: Height 5’4, weight 200 lbs, between the age of 25 and 35

Theft – Shoplifting – Cited

3000 20th Ave

Officers were dispatched to a local store regarding a shoplifter. Upon arrival at the scene, the officers met a Loss Prevention Agent who stated that she saw a suspect concealing many items into a shopping bag. The suspect then walked past all open registers and failed to pay for the stolen items in his possession. Loss Prevention Agents then stopped and escorted the suspect to the security office. A Loss Prevention Agent signed a Citizen’s Arrest Form and the officers accepted custody of the man. The officers cited the man for shoplifting and released at the scene.

Officers responded to a 911 caller about a suspicious package in his mail. When the officers arrived at the scene, the man stated that he had opened the package and discovered an unknown substance. The man stated that he had last checked his mail yesterday and the package was not there.

Driving with a Suspended Driver’s License – Cited

Judah and Funston Street

An officer in full uniform and in a marked police vehicle observed a vehicle that failed to come to a complete stop. The officer stopped the vehicle and identified the driver. The officer conducted a computer check and discovered that the man’s driver’s license was suspended. The man was cited for driving with a suspended driver’s license and released at the scene.

Commercial Burglary – Forcible Entry

3000 Vicente Street

An officer was dispatched to a local store regarding a burglary. Upon arrival at the scene, the officer met the store owner and he stated that an unknown suspect had forced open the store’s door. The point of entry and exit was the front door.

Residential Burglary – Forcible Entry

2000 29th Ave

An officer responded to a residential burglary. Upon arrival at the scene, the officer met with the homeowner who stated that his neighbor’s house had their front gate opened. The homeowner stated that he knew his neighbor was not home at that time and had attempted to investigate. When he arrived at the neighbor’s home, he saw two suspects walked out of the house.  The man discovered that the front gate and the front door were opened and damaged. He also discovered his home was ransacked and his personal belongings were stolen. Based on the preliminary investigation, the officer determined that the point of entry and exit was the front door.

Suspect 1: Asian Male, height: 5’7”, between the ages of 18 and 21 years old, last seen wearing: two tone jacket, blue jeans, carrying black umbrella.

Suspect 2: Asian Male, height: 5’7”, between the ages of 18 and 21 years old, last seen wearing: all black clothing.

Death Report – Cause Unknown

200 Orizaba Ave

Officers were dispatched to a residence to meet with SFFD Engine regarding a death. Upon the officers’ arrival, SFFD Engine stated to the officers that they were dispatched for a medical call and had discovered the deceased person and pronounced the time of death. The officers then spoke with the roommate of the deceased and he stated that the man had medical conditions and had visited the doctor several times and discovered the man unresponsive in his room.

Theft From Unlocked Vehicle – False Personation to Receive Money

A woman came into the Taraval Station to report an auto burglary and identity theft. The woman stated that she parked her vehicle in front of her house for some time and had discovered certain items missing from her vehicle when she arrived at a later time. She stated that she received a phone call from her bank to verify that she was requesting a loan. She contacted the bank and discovered certain accounts were opened in her name without her permission or consent. The woman immediately cancelled all the accounts and believed that the accounts were opened with the information stolen from the missing items.

An officer in full police uniform and in a marked police vehicle observed a vehicle that failed to yield to several pedestrians in a marked crosswalk. The officer conducted a traffic stop on the moving vehicle and discovered that the driver was driving with a suspended driver’s license. The man was cited for failing to yield to pedestrians and driving with a suspended license and driven from the scene by a licensed passenger and the vehicle was released.

Residential Burglary – Forced Entry

Officers responded to a residential burglary. Upon arrival at the scene, the man told the officers that an unknown suspect had broken his storage locker to steal an item. The man informed the officers that he gave no permission to break his lock and steal the item.

Burglary – Residential with Forced Entry

00 Lopez Avenue

Officers responded to a residential burglary. The officers met a woman who said she had been on vacation and left her house locked and secured. The woman stated that she had contacted by a relative that her house had been burglarized. The woman told the officers that the front window was smashed and the front door was unlocked. Certain items were stolen from her home.

False Personation to Receive Money

A woman walked into the station to report a fraud. The woman told the officer that she received a letter from a government agency in regards to a payment of her taxes. She called the agency regarding the amount she was required to pay. An agent responded that an unknown person had used her information to file taxes. The woman gave no permission to anyone to use her information.

Burglary – Residential with Forced Entry

Officers were dispatched to a residential burglary. Upon arrival at the scene, the officers met a woman who stated that she had locked and secured her home. Upon her return, she discovered that the rear back window and the rear back door were damaged. Her house had been ransacked and personal belongings were stolen.

Robbery at a Service Station with Force

Officers responded to a commercial robbery. Upon arrival, they met with an employee who said he was assaulted and the register had been emptied out by an unknown suspect. The employee stated that the suspect had made a purchase only to attack the employee and was forced to empty the cash register.

Suspect 1: White male, 5’6”, 30-40 years old, skinny build. LSW: Dark baseball hat, dark jacket, green scarf.

Death Report – Cause to be Determined

An officer was called to a scene regarding a death report. Upon arrival at the scene, the officer met with a SFFD personnel who stated that they responded to a medical call. The personnel told the officer that the woman passed away in her sleep. The officer spoke to the brother who said he last saw his sister yesterday evening when he came home from an errand. The brother stated to the officer that his sister had slight drossiness and coughing. When they woke up the next morning, the brother found his sister deceased on her bed.

A woman walked into the Taraval Police Station to file a fraud. She stated that she received a call from her bank regarding unusual activity on her cards. Attempt charges were made on her cards and were denied. She stated that she had possession of her cards and had not given permission to anyone to use her cards.

Robbery – Street/Public Place with Force

8:30 pm

000 Faxon Avenue

An officer responded to a robbery in a public area. Upon arrival at the scene, the woman stated to the officer she was returning from work and was approached by an unknown vehicle. Two suspects exited the vehicle and the first suspect pushed her to the ground while the second went to grab her bag. The woman attempted to hold her purse and the suspects forcibly grabbed the purse from her. Both suspects fled the scene.

Suspect 1: Black male, 5’5”, short dark hair, 17-21 years old. LSW: Black sweater, black pants.

Suspect 2: Black male, 6’0”, shoulder length dreadlocks, 17-21 years old. LSW: Black beanie, black hooded sweater, dark colored jeans.

An officer conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle with a non-functioning brake light. The office identified the driver and ran a computer check to discover that the driver had a suspended license. The man was cited for driving with a non functioning brake light and driving with a suspended license.

Residential Burglary – Forcible Entry

An officer responded to a residential burglary. Upon arrival at the scene, the officer met with the contractor of the home. The contractor stated to the officer that he left the home secured yesterday night. When he returned the morning after, the contractor discovered the rear door had been damaged and several items were missing. The probable entry and exit point was through the rear door. A follow-up form was provided to the contractor.

An officer responded to a residential burglary. Upon arrival at the scene, the officer met with the contractor who stated that he left the home secured yesterday night. When he returned in the morning after, he discovered several items were missing from his bin. A follow-up form was provided to the contractor.

Officers responded to an intersection regarding a battery. Upon arrival at the scene, the officer met a woman who stated that her son had a dispute from consuming alcohol and had injured his family members. The woman also stated that her son had left the house before officers arrived. Suspect: Hispanic Male, Height 5’6”, Weight 160 lbs, 21 years old, Last Seen Wearing: Black and gray jacket, blue jeans, gray shoes.

Officers responded to a local store regarding a theft. Upon arrival at the scene, the officers met with a woman who stated that her wallet was stolen from her purse when she was about to make a purchase. The woman was positive that her wallet was in her purse and believed that a suspect had reached into her purse and stolen her wallet. A follow-up form was provided to the woman.

A woman came into Taraval Station to report a theft. The woman stated that she parked and secured her vehicle in the morning. Upon her return to the vehicle, she discovered the front driver side window of her vehicle had been shattered and certain items were stolen. A follow-up form was provided to the woman.

Officers in a marked police vehicle were on patrol and observed a moving vehicle with broken brake lights. The officers conducted a traffic stop and approached the driver. The driver was identified and did not have a driver’s license issued. The driver was cited and the vehicle was released to a family member of the driver.

Residential Burglary

Officers responded to a residential burglary. Upon arriving at the scene, officers were met by a man. The man stated he left his house in the afternoon, and when he returned later that night noticed his computer and some money missing. The man remembers locking all doors before he left the house. The officers did a walkthrough of the residence, and determined the point of entry was the bedroom window.

An officer responded to a vandalism incident. Upon arriving at the scene the officer was met by a man. The man stated he checked his back glass door in the afternoon, and the next day noticed it was broken. A preliminary walkthrough by the man determined nothing was moved or displaced.

Officers responded to a window breaking incident. Upon arriving at the scene, officers were met by two women. One woman stated she was not home at the time of the incident, but noticed her side window had been broken. The second woman stated she was home, and heard a pop then glass breaking. She was unable to identify any suspects.

Officers responded to a broken window incident. Upon arriving on the scene the officers were met by two women. The first woman stated she was sitting in her room when she heard her window shatter. The woman then noticed a rock on the ground next to the broken window. The second woman went outside when she heard the house window break, and noticed damage to her rear window.

A man came into the Taraval Station to report a theft. The man stated that he received a call from his bank and had cashed in a check for a refund. The man stated provided a signature on the check and did not grant the permission for a refund. The man suspects a former employee had stolen the check.

Burglary – Residential with Forced Entry

Officers responded to residential burglary. A neighbor stated to dispatch that they witnessed two suspects with  bolt cutters inside the residence. Upon arrival at the scene the officers met with two neighbors. The neighbors stated that they heard glass break and witnessed one of the suspects exit out the side door. Based on preliminary investigation, the officers determined the point of entry and exit was the side door.
