The victim reported that he had observed the suspect, who was carrying a bass guitar, walking towards him and challenged the suspect to play something on the guitar. An argument ensued and the suspect made slashing movements with a knife towards the victim before leaving the scene. Afterwards, the victim stated that he realized he had been cut only after the suspect had left.

Lincoln Way & 36th Ave
Officers were on patrol in the area and observed that a vehicle had been parked in the same spot for approximately one week. A computer check on the vehicle revealed an expired registration and that the owner of the vehicle had two arrest warrants. The officers investigated the vehicle and located the owner. After further investigation, the owner was arrested for his warrants.
