The victim, a gardener for the SF Park and Recreational Department, was picking up trash near a vehicle. The suspect, who was inside the vehicle, demanded that the victim get away from the vehicle and hit the victim with a thrown bottle of water. The victim picked up the bottle and thew it back at the suspect, hitting the suspect’s car. The suspect then pepper sprayed the victim and immediately drove away from the area.

Officers responded to a report of an assault. After further investigation, it was determined that during an argument between two family members and the suspect had hit the victim’s forearm with a hammer. The suspect was arrested.

Lincoln Way & Great Hwy
Officers were on patrol in the area when they observed a suspicious vehicle, which had been reported stolen. The officers detained the three occupants in the vehicle and a computer check revealed two arrest warrants on two of the occupants. The third occupant was released and the first two occupants were arrested.
