Sergeant was on patrol when an anonymous witness reported they had almost been involved in an accident with a vehicle whose driver was asleep in the roadway. The sergeant located the vehicle and observed the driver asleep in the driver’s seat with the engine running. The sergeant woke the driver and spoke with him. The driver exhibited all the signs of being intoxicated. After further investigation and testing, the driver was arrested for driving while intoxicated.
