On Tuesday, October 14, 2014, the SFPD held a promotion ceremony for its members at the Scottish Rite Masonic Center in the Taraval Police District. Families, friends, and peers attended to show their support. Chief Suhr and his administration congratulated each and every member who earned a promotion. Notable attendees included District 8 Supervisor Scott Weiner, Police Commissioner Petra DeJesus, Police Commissioner L. Julius M. Turman, and Assessor-Recorder Carmen Chu.
Captain Curtis Lum was proud to see members of the Taraval Station become supervisors. As a result of their promotion, they were transferred to different units throughout the Department.
Taraval Station bids them farewell and luck in their new roles. They are: Sergeant D. Elsey, Sergeant C. Batan, and Sergeant F. Graves.
