Traffic Violation – Suspended Driver’s License– Cited

Taraval St & 42nd Ave
A Sgt in plain clothes was driving an unmarked vehicle when he observed another vehicle driving erratically and not signaling. The Sgt. notified a uniformed officer of the violation(s) observed. The officer was able to locate the vehicle and run a  computer check on the driver which revealed his driver’s license had been suspended. The suspect was cited for the violation and released.

19th Ave & Denslowe Dr
Officers were conducting LIDAR speed enforcement and conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle that was speeding. A computer check on the driver revealed that the driver’s license had been suspended. The suspect was cited for the violation and released.

Robbery Arrest

2100 Funston Ave
A Sgt. in Taraval’s Instigation Department conducted an investigation related to a robbery incident that was reported earlier the week and was able close the case. The Sgt. located the suspect and placed him under arrest.

Warrant Arrest

Holloway Ave & Brighton Ave
Officers were in the area when they observed a vehicle parked with various car parts lying around on the surrounding sidewalk. A computer check on vehicle provided the officer with the registered owner’s name and a computer check on the information revealed an outstanding warrant on the vehicle’s owner. The owner of the vehicle was located and arrested for the warrant.

Traffic Violation – Methamphetamine Offense – Cited

Great Highway & Quintara St
Officers stopped a vehicle for a non functioning brake light and that the passenger not wearing her seatbelt. While conducting their investigation, they noticed a plastic bag which the officers believed to be methamphetamine. The driver and the passenger were cited for the above offense.

Driving under the influence – Arrested

Brotherhood Way & Lake Merced
Officers respond to a vehicle accident. The officers approached one of the party’s involved and smelled alcohol on his breath. The officers conducted a Field Sobriety Test which the driver failed. After further investigation, the driver was arrested for a DUI.

Traffic Violation – Possession of Narcotics Paraphernalia – Cited

Junipero Sierra Blvd & 19th Ave
Officers noticed a vehicle with a cracked front window. The officers conducted a traffic stop on the vehicle and a computer check revealed that the passenger of the vehicle was on probation with a search condition. The officers searched the passenger and located narcotic paraphernalia in the immediate area. The driver was cited for the traffic violation and the passenger was cited for possession of narcotics paraphernalia.

Traffic Violation – Driving Under the Influence – Arrested

Officer observed a vehicle not making a complete stop at a stop sign. While making contact with the driver, the officer detected a strong odor of alcoholic beverages. The officer conducted a Field Sobriety Test on the driver which she failed. After further investigation, the driver was arrest for dui.

Officers responded to a report of a suspicious person in a parked vehicle. When the officers arrived on the scene they heard a gunshot. The officers located the victim in the reported vehicle and determined that the victim had suffered from a fatal, self inflicted gun shot.
