Vehicle Tampering – Arrested

300 Magellan Ave
Officers responded to a report of a suspicious person who was trying to open a vehicle’s door. The victim reported to the responding officers that he was driving when he saw the suspect trying to open a rear passenger door. The suspect started to walk away from the vehicle but frequently looked behind him once he observed the victim was watching him. At one point, the suspect attempted to hide behind a bush by suddenly kneeling down near it. Responding officers located the suspect and conducted a computer check which revealed that the suspect had entered an unlocked vehicle earlier in the day and stole some change. The suspect was arrested.

Officers responded to a report of a robbery. The victims reported that they were walking when two suspects pushed them from behind before demanding their cell phones. The victims reported that they hesitated and the suspects pulled out what looked like a gun before pointing it at them. The suspects then fled the scene.

Vehicle Violation – No Driver’s License Issued

Officers observed a vehicle that failed to stop at a stop sign. Officers conducted a traffic stop and a computer check on the driver revealed that he did not have a driver’s license issued to him. The driver was cited.

Battery

3800 Noriega St
Officers responded to a report of a battery. The victim told the officers that he was standing in line when a suspect approached him and challenged him to a fight outside. The victim said that he didn’t want to go out with him, but the suspect implied he had a gun. Once outside, the suspect punched the victim and left the location. A witness told the officer that it appeared that the suspect and victim seemed to know each other.

Officers observed a vehicle without tail lights and conducted a traffic stop. A computer check on the driver revealed that he was not issued a driver’s license. The driver was cited.
