Brandishing a Weapon – Vehicle Tampering – Cited

Officers responded to a report of a person brandishing an assault riffle. The victim reported that he had returned for his parked vehicle after attending the Outside Lands Festival and found that it had been moved back a couple feet from it’s original spot. The victim attempted to confronted the owner of the house, the suspect, to gather information about his car but was met with the suspect suddenly exiting his house with a riffle pointed at him. The suspect told the victim that his car was originally blocking the driveway and prevented the suspect’s father from parking in the garage. The suspect was unsuccessful in making contact with the owner of the vehicle and was also unsuccessful in finding a tow truck who could come to the area. Eventually, a passerby in a pickup truck offered assistance and the victim’s car was lifted off the ground with a jack and then hooked on to the truck and moved away from the driveway. The suspect responded that he was fearful when the victim approached him. After further investigation, the suspect was cited.

Officers responded to a report of a possible fight. Responding officers were immediately met with the victim, who pointed frantically to the direction of 24th avenue and reported that he was walking along Lawton street and 24th avenue when when there unknown suspects suddenly approached him and pulled his bag away from him. The suspects then entered their vehicle, which had a black paper covering the license plate, and fled the area.
