Traffic Violation – Suspended Driver’s License – Cited

19th Ave & Buckingham Way
Officers were on patrol and observed a vehicle traveling at 56 mph in a 35 mph zone. The officers conducted a traffic stop and a computer check revealed that the driver’s license had been suspended. The driver had also been cited four times in the past for the same violation. The driver was cited and his vehicle towed.

Officers were on patrol and observed a vehicle that failed to make a complete stop at a posted stop sign. The officers conducted a traffic stop and a computer check on the vehicle revealed that the driver had never been issued a driver’s license. The driver was cited.

Lakeview Ave & Capitol Ave
Officers were on patrol and observed a vehicle with a current 2018 registration sticker despite the registration having been expired since August 2017. The officers conducted a traffic stop and a computer check on the driver revealed that the license had also been suspended.  The driver was cited.

Theft of a Bicycle – Warrant Arrest – Arrested

Officers were flagged down by a witness who reported that a suspect had just been observed stealing a bicycle. The officers located the suspect and detained him. The suspect stated that he had believed that the bicycle had been abandoned and attempted to take possession of it. However, the suspect reported that somebody then yelled at him and he gave the bicycle back. A computer check on the suspect revealed that the suspect had a warrant for his arrest. After further investigation, the suspect was arrested.
