Package theft – Possession of Stolen Property – Cited

Officers responded to a report that a suspect was stealing packages. The witness stated that he was walking in the neighborhood when he observed the suspect walk up a staircase and grab two packages before walking back to the sidewalk. The suspect was then observed taking another package shortly afterwards. Responding officers searched the area and successfully located the suspect. A search of the area also located two opened packages nearby. After further investigation, the suspect was cited.
Robbery

Officers responded to a report of a robbery. The victim reported that she was walking when she observed a double-parked vehicle nearby. The victim stated that the suspect exited the vehicle while holding a gun and grabbed the victim’s backpack while pointing the gun at her. The suspect then fled in the vehicle with the stolen backpack.
