The victim, a loss prevention associate, attempted to escort a suspected shoplifter out of the store. The suspect pushed the victim and fled the scene.

Plainclothes officers were alerted by the Real Time Investigation Center (RTIC) that Flock had captured a known vehicle used for vehicle burglaries entering San Francisco. The vehicle was tracked to Stonestown, where RTIC deployed a drone and observed a suspect breaking into a vehicle and stealing items from inside. The drone operator followed the vehicle as it left the scene and directed the plainclothes officers to the location where the vehicle had later parked. The officers detained the suspect without incident. They located stolen items, which were later identified by the victim as belonging to her. The suspect was arrested.
